The private investigation is a profession, which is usually done by the ex-policemen or retired police officers, which means that they can be quite old and are not willing to move about. The cases are brought to their desks and they try to solve it from there itself. The young Private Investigator can either learn the ropes from the older private Investigator himself while on job with him or attend a school where they teach. The private investigators who are interested in the schools get to learn the following: 1) They have to study the criminology that is the study of crime. The young ones are taught that to solve a crime they need to understand the case, the motive behind it and learn to think like a criminal. The gear given to the young private investigator plays a very important part, as they need to learn about the psychology of the criminal and the forensics of the same. They not only deal with the evidence but are also needed to deal with the people around. The two main things they can be equipped with are: a) Forensics: this is the scientific analysis of the crime scene, which will help them to solve a crime. The forensic means the application of science in the legal terms. The private investigators are taught forensics for the basic reason that they will be able to judge the crime scene and can solve the crime. b) Psychology: The psychology will help the private investigator to deal with different people and criminals, which will help them in solving the crime. The private investigators also need to deal with the officials like the police officers etc so if they are aware of the psychology of the person it will be easier to deal with them. Therefore, a school for any private investigator will teach them psychology. If the private investigator can determine how the criminal thinks then it will be easier for them to catch the criminal or also help in curbing the crime before criminal is caught. 2) The private investigators need to learn self-defense in order to save themselves from the criminals and other miscreants. The school teaches them the use of guns and rifles for defense purpose, they are also taught to be responsible around the guns, and rifles as they can take are very dangerous if not handled right. The other method of self-defense is judo or karate or any other martial arts with which they can fight with the opponent and can defend themselves. All this helps the new private investigator to be ready to solve some crimes with or without the help of the senior member of the private investigation team.
